Grilled Sweet Potato Wedges With Garlic Pecan Aioli

Smokey and savory, these grilled sweet potato wedges are easy to prepare and quick to enjoy! Alongside a homemade garlic pean aioli, sweet potato wedges are a great snack or appetizer. They’re simply tossed with olive oil and Butcher BBQ’s Grilling Addiction Seasoning before being grilled to perfection. Only a couple minutes of grilling on each side is needed to crisp up those sweet potatoes and cook the inside, too. Then, they’re served with a creamy aioli that’s seasoned with our Savory Pecan Seasoning and garlic. The inside is fluffy and tender while the outside of the wedges are hot and crisp!

These grilled sweet potatoes are indeed slightly sweet, but nice and savory thanks to the Grilling Addiction Seasoning and the aioli. The pecan seasoning in the aioli makes it slightly nutty and overall savory and satisfying! It’s an interesting blend of contrasting flavors that comes together perfectly in the end. This dish is perfect for the fall and upcoming holidays thanks to that pecan and seasonal sweet potato.


Garlic Pecan Aioli


  1. Preheat the grill over medium high heat, approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Depending on the size of the sweet potatoes, quarter them or otherwise cut them lengthwise into thick wedges.

  3. Add the sweet potato wedges to a large bowl and drizzle with oil. Use tongs to toss to coat. Sprinkle with Grilling Addiction Seasoning and toss to coat again.

  4. Place sweet potato wedges onto the hot grill and close the lid. Grill, flipping the wedges every 3 minutes or so, for about 9-12 minutes, or until fork tender.

  5. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the garlic pecan aioli. Serve the sweet potato wedges warm with aioli for dipping!
